COMBINING WEDDING AND BAPTISM TOGETHER

In the past there was the tradition that a couple should meet with each other first, probably after their parents’ arrangement, and they get married – nyfika after they were love for each other. When their child was born after a while, they would baptize it in the presence of their families. Nowadays, there is a new tradition. Because of the much different style of life, and different way of thinking, many couples decide to start creating a family before even getting married. Some of those couples are just against of idea of getting married; others have started thinking things from a different aspect. A wedding preparation, they think, needs a certain budget. After the wedding starting a new home, a new family requires other budgets. When a new person is added in their family things start becoming tighter because a baptism is required, too. So, they have decided that they first get together and live together like a married couple. After having a new house of their own, they decide to have a baby. When the baby comes they arrange both the wedding and the child baptism in the same day. In that way they can save a lot of money, because having a common ceremony for both the wedding and the baptism it will require the half of the budget. Otherwise, they would need to have a simple wedding and a simple baptism in different days, something that would seem pointless. The decoration, the invitations, the bonbonires will be the same and the reception will hold both the events. The couple will be able to have a certain limited budget, because the majority of the things that have to be done will be common. They can plan everything like νυφικα that they desire to have in their wedding and the baptism of their child without thinking how they will get the money.
